Don't drive60 :

- when the speed limit is less than 60mph

- during bad weather conditions

- during rush hour traffic or any time you are unable to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you

- on a long stretch of two-lane road with anxious drivers piling up behind with no opportunity to pass and you're going below the speed limit. Bad idea, safety first !

- if your passengers prefer you save the world at another time.

You will find many safe opportunities to drive60 at other times.

If the 65 / 70 mph speed limit applies to your vehicle, you can drive 60 mph in the right lane without a problem. The California speed limit is 55mph for big trucks & vehicles with trailers.
